Governor Tomblin’s signature is the last step in making

West Virginia the 11th state to protect unborn babies who can feel pain!

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HB 4588) passed in the West Virginia Senate on Saturday by a vote of 29-5. The House had to concur with the Senate changes before final passage, 83-15.

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act will protect West Virginia’s unborn babies who can feel pain from being aborted, by asserting a compelling state interest in their lives.  5months

Substantial scientific research demonstrates that unborn babies can feel pain beginning by at least 20 weeks after conception. It is important that West Virginia has asserted its legitimate concern for the well-being of these innocent, pain-capable babies.

West Virginia can now join the many other states which legally protect pain-capable unborn babies. Governor Tomblin just needs to sign the bill into law, but he needs to hear from pro-life West Virginians like you!

Call Governor Tomblin at 304-558-2000, and ask him to protect innocent unborn babies by signing the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HB 4588) into law.
