October 2017
Dear Friends,
Every year West Virginians for Life sponsors a state-wide convention. This year, the convention will be held on Saturday, October 21 from 10 to 3 at Horizons Church in Lost Creek, WV. We encourage you to plan to attend this premier, pro-life, educational event.
The convention features a fast-paced program including speakers, videos and introductions of elected officials, U.S. Congressman David McKinley among them. The keynote speaker will be Wesley Smith, J.D., award-winning author and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism. He is also a consultant to the Patients’ Rights Council. He will address the growing pressures on health care personnel to withhold care for those who are disabled, old and dying. Come to hear what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Other topics include:
- Thinking the Worst: the Mindset Behind Assisted Suicide
- When you Think Planned Parenthood, Think Abortion
- Winning for Life in the 2018 Elections
- WV 2018 Legislative Update, which will introduce our new legislation, the Non-Discrimination in Denial of Treatment Act.
In addition to the main convention, there is the parallel track for the Teens for Life Convention with great speakers and games. Lunch is taken with the adult convention. Registration fee for the teens is only $20.
Please consider attending this great event. The cost is $35.00 with a group rate of $25.00 for groups of 10 or more. Here is a registration brochure and you can obtain more information here.
Sincerely, for life,
Wanda Franz, President
