Dear Friends for Life,

It is my great joy to wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the blessings of the season.  It is certainly a time to think of family and the excitement of children as we welcome the birth of our savior. Everyone in the pro-life movement can marvel at God’s wisdom in sending his son to us in the form of an embryo conceived in Mary’s womb to be born as a “little, tiny child.”  May our love for Him be extended to all children in the wombs of their mothers. May they survive our culture of abortion to experience their own birth.

This year we are especially blessed to be able to celebrate the passage of Amendment 1. This is a historic victory for West Virginia and we are deeply grateful for all of you who worked to make passage possible. Passage of this Amendment has cleansed our Constitution of the abortion issue. It returns control over funding for abortions to the State Legislature, where it rightfully belongs.

On January 22, 2019, we will be recognizing the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton, which invalidated the properly passed abortion laws in all 50 states and made, in all practicality, abortion on demand the law of the land.  Pro-life supporters will gather in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 18, 2019 for the March for Life. A bus will be going from Morgantown for the March and a meeting with our Congressional delegation. Reservations for the bus are required and can be made by calling Donna Kolanko:  304-282-5756.

Please plan to attend the Rally for Life at the WV State Capitol in Charleston on Monday, February 18, 2019, for the noon rally and silent cross walk through the halls of the capitol building. We are proud to have pro-life majorities in both Houses and in the legislative leadership.  Come to show them your support for their pro-life work.

All of our work for the pro-life cause this year has left our coffers empty. Please consider a year-end gift for West Virginians for Life. We are grateful for any help you can give.
